Thank you for the music

November 29, 2014 by Soumya Radhakrishnan

I believe there’s no celebration that is as relevant to our daily lives as the Thanksgiving day. Being thankful and being grateful for what we have been blessed with - what a wonderful concept/reason that’s worth celebrating.
There are so many things that I’m thankful for this year - for good health, for being loved like never before, and for being able to pursue things that I’m passionate about.
And, it goes without saying, thank you for the music!

There is so much that, if we learnt we might be dead by nightfall, we would remember to value.

The unpublished work

November 22, 2014 by Soumya Radhakrishnan

I have a couple of music tracks that I haven’t shared with the world yet and that are still lying in my computer’s hard drive. Since the rights of these tracks lie with multiple owners, it’s better to share my list of unpublished projects instead of sharing the actual work. So, here you go:

1. Bhagwan Dhoondo - Title track (female version) composed by Agam for Yours Truly Theater, Bangalore.

2. Chakli (an item number) and Koncha (a romantic duet song) - for the unreleased Kannada flick, Bhoochakra, composed by Vineeth Raj Menon.

3. Thoduga - song for a Telugu short film written and composed by Indu Dasika.

4. Sumne - a Kannada song composed by Saikat-Shankar.

Once I get a sign off from the respective owners, I will publish them in my blog.

Do you have any work that’s worth mentioning but, you’re hiding from the world?

Sou's Voice celebrates 6 month anniversary

November 01, 2014 by Soumya Radhakrishnan

Sou's Voice is 6 months old today and I guess, its a good time to review how the website has been doing. Here are some numbers I gathered from the website's analytics:

Total no. of visitors: 999

Total no. of page views: 3,405

Pages/session: 2.1

Avg. session duration: 02:34 min

Returning visitors: 623

Not bad at all for 6 months and that too, organically. 623 returning visitors out of 999 total visitors was a pleasant surprise. I'm not sure if these numbers should matter to me and the work I do in this blog, but it definitely feels encouraging. Keeping up is going to be a challenge though.

I shall continue sharing new ideas, thoughts and music, as always. Keep reading and thank you for following my work.
